How: We plan to CouchSurf as much as possible in order to meet as many people as we can and discover the difference in this nation not only topographically, but culturally.

introduce the players:
Nearly 7 weeks in a car - 8,500 miles - 25 states - a plethora of books on CDs, songs, road games, and bear-sightings. What will happen? Nobody knows. But here is what I do know: 1) we will find a way to live with each other, 2) we will return with countless stories, pictures, and memories, and 3) we will meet and talk to people in all walks of USA life.
Now let's
introduce the players:
Enrique - 20 yrs old, from Malaga, Spain (and if you were from a city that beautiful, you may not want to leave, so I appreciate his willingness to bless us with his manly protection). A student at the university there, has traveled all over Europe through CS, but not seen the USA yet. He's going to help me with my Spanish while I take us to the famous Spanish missions in the South West :)
Theresa - 23 yrs old, from Munich & Berlin, Germany. A journalist and traveler. Put up with me in Munich for nearly 8 hours while I had a cold, sinus infection, and terrible allergies. If she could suffer through that, she can tackle anything! Also, met Kristin Stewart and Rob Pattenson from Twilight when working for a German teen magazine. Therefore, knowing her is one step away from being Rob's new girlfriend (I'm sure he'd agree). She has been all over Europe and recently went to the Middle East...alone! I think she'll be the body guard on the little USA jaunt ;)
Lauren - 23 yrs old, from Miami, FL & Charlotte, NC. A wanna-be novelist, journalist, and travel guide. An actual - dance teacher, tutor, and Mary Kay beauty consultant. Actively trying to keep her summer vacations and live them to the fullest!
Carmen - 20 years old, from Malaga, Spain. Friend of Enrique's and equally well-traveled! Looks forward to learning how to salsa dance, as well as helping out in the "teach Lauren Spanish" program.
